A Letter From Pat

Dear Exhibitors:

I want to thank everyone who competed during our inaugural year at Balmoral Park. We accomplished an enormous undertaking to be ready to open in May of 2017. We tried a couple of different layouts and traffic patterns and then asked what you, the exhibitor, liked the most. We also took several surveys and we have pooled together your thoughts and concerns as to your wishes to make this truly a remarkable place to horse show.

I want to share with you the changes and upgrades that will be made for the 2018 show season to make your showing experience even more enjoyable and successful.

A. The Grand Hunter Ring will move back up top in front of the office. This way we can continue to highlight the Hunters front and center.
B. Jumper 1 will become the Grand Prix Schooling area and what was the original Grand Prix Schooling Area will now be a holding area for the Grand Prix Ring. We plan to erect an 80’ x 160’ shade tent in the Holding Area area which will allow for relief for horses, exhibitors
and staff.
C. Jumper 1 & 2 will now have their own schooling rings and all Jumpers will be located on the South end.
D. There will be new permanent shade pavilions at every Hunter & Jumper ring.
E. We will offer food service on the backside of the show arenas across from the hunter rings.
F. The remaining 6 barns on the south end of the property will be completed to balance out the stabling north & south.
G. The south end of the property will also have new paddocks and another 30 camper hook-ups.
H. The VIP Area will be sectioned off to allow for constant air conditioning for your continued comfort. We believe this is the best view in the house and we want to make it perfect.

These changes will give the Hunters a prominent placement to show off their talents. In July, the USHJA Children’s and Adult Hunter Championships will be highlighted on the main stage with VIP seating directly across from the show ring on the upper deck. The changes for
the Grand Prix ring will allow those horses to have an extra-large warm up area and an even bigger and better holding area. This change will also allow all of the jumpers to be located on the south end of the competition area making it more convenient for competitors.

We have listened to your suggestions and are striving to accommodate everyone’s needs and wishes going forward. We want to make Balmoral Park the place to be in 2018. We feel strongly that all of these improvements will enhance your showing experience here at Balmoral Park.

See you shortly for another great season!
